Basic Safety Training Full Course (Offshore/5 Modules)

This BST Training shall enable Delegates to support and care for themselves and others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge and skills of First Aid, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Sea Survival and in case of an emergency, to be able to evacuate, rescue and provide appropriate First Aid to casualties.

Basic Safety Training Full Course (Onshore/4 Modules)

This BST Training shall enable Delegates to support and care for themselves and others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge and skills of First Aid, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Sea Survival and in case of an emergency, to be able to evacuate, rescue and provide appropriate First Aid to casualties.

Basic Safety Training Refresher (Offshore/5 Modules)

This BST Training shall enable Delegates to support and care for themselves and others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge and skills of First Aid, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Sea Survival and in case of an emergency, to be able to evacuate, rescue and provide appropriate First Aid to casualties.

Basic Safety Training Refresher (Onshore/4 Modules)

This BST Training shall enable Delegates to support and care for themselves and others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge and skills of First Aid, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Sea Survival and in case of an emergency, to be able to evacuate, rescue and provide appropriate First Aid to casualties.

BST Working at Heights

The aims of this course shall give the participants the necessary basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to use basic PPE and perform safe work at heights and safe and comprehensive basic rescue from heights in a remote wind turbine environment in accordance with BST Module Working at Heights.

BST First Aid

The aim of this BST Module is to administer safe and effective First Aid in the wind turbine industry/ WTG environment, in accordance with GWO First Aid training through theoretical and practical training.

BST Fire Awareness

The aim of this course is to give the participants the basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to prevent fires, conduct initial and appropriate judgement when evaluating a fire, manage evacuation of personnel to ensure all are safely evacuated and accounted for in the event of an unmanageable fire and, if it is judged to be safe, to efficiently extinguish an initial fire by using basic hand held firefighting equipment.

BTS Sea Survival

The aims of this BST Sea Survival course are, by theoretical and practical training to give the participants the basic knowledge and skills to act safely and take the correct preventive actions in all aspects of offshore operations from shore to installation vessel or WTG and vice versa, both during normal operation and in an emergency in an offshore wind energy environment.

BST Manual Handling

The aim of this Module is to encourage positive Manual Handling behaviour and train delegates ability to perform Manual Handling tasks in a safe manner in the wind turbine industry/environment. The training shall be designed to improve and refresh Delegates’ awareness through both theoretical knowledge and practical training. The main focus shall be on practicing correct techniques. The BST Manual Handling Module may be delivered at the same time as the BSTR Manual Handling Module. Training staff should be aware that this module allows first time delegates and refresher delegates in the same classroom. Training should therefore incorporate the sharing of knowledge of the more experienced delegates.

Combined Manual Handling and Working at Heights

The aim of this module is to enable the participants, through theoretical and practical training, to use basic personal protective equipment, work safely at heights and perform comprehensive basic rescue from heights in a wind turbine environment.

First Aid (refresher)

The course ensures delegates maintain the ability to administer prompt, safe and effective first aid in the wind industry, and in a wind turbine environment, in accordance with GWO training standards. Upon completion of the course, delegates will be awarded with a GWO approved First Aid certificate.

fire awareness (refresheR)

The aims of this course are to give the participants the basic knowledge and skills through theoretical and practical training to prevent fires, conduct initial and appropriate judgement when evaluating a fire, manage evacuation of personnel to ensure all are safely evacuated and accounted for in the event of an unmanageable fire, and, if it is judged to be safe, to efficiently extinguish an initial fire by using basic hand held firefighting equipment.

Manual Handling (Refresher)

In theoretical and practical sections of the course participants are taught how to properly apply lifting and carrying techniques that protect the back while incorporating safety measures. The safe lifting, carrying and moving of loads is instilled by means of practical exercises.

working at heights (refresher)

The Working at Heights and Refresher Training is designed to: Educate workers on the dangers of working at heights and how to avoid hazards and prevent accidents, promote a safe workplace by identifying the importance of safe working at heights, teach all workers the proper theory and practical working at heights training, and demonstrate fall protection equipment available.

Sea Survival (refresher)

This GWO Sea Survival Refresher module is to review and build on previously gained knowledge and skills through open questions and practical training.

Combined Manual Handling and working at heights (refresher)

GWO Working at Heights with Manual Handling Refresher (MHR & WAHR) training course will review and build on previously gained knowledge through theoretical and practical training. After the course, participants will be able to use basic personal protective equipment and perform safe work at heights and safe and comprehensive basic rescue in the wind turbine industry and environment. The course also refreshes skills and knowledge to encourage positive manual handling and ergonomic behaviour, encourages participants to consider alternatives to manual handling through planning and to train participants’ ability to perform manual handling tasks in a safe manner.
